People Resource (PR)
Access to the resource so that we can negotiate the work required to get the deliverable completed. Accountability on where their time went during the day: project and non-project work.
Resource Manager (RM)
Access to the resource manager so that we can negotiate for the resource’s time. The RM should have a working relationship to the Project Sponsor. If you do not have this relationship set up, the project is at risk.
Project Sponsor / Champion (Sponsor)
Accountability to the Project Sponsor / Champion who will be available for certain meetings and can attend more often if the project begins to go off track.
The Sponsor cannot be the same person as the Resource Manager. This is a conflict of interest for the Resource Manager. The Project Manager will not be as effective in this situation.
